Freezing pan Ejector in use at Capelin processing plant.

This Capelin season the processing plant Vinnslustöðin in the Vestmann islands produced and froze up to 150 tonnes of Capelin roes a day. Just in time for the season Vinnslustoðin received an Ejector for freezing pans with a feeding unit from Klaki stálsmiðja ehf. According to the supervisor at the plant the unit handled approximately 12 pans a minute and the process went well. Note that freezing 150 tonnes requires the use of 16 thousand pans.

Gudmundur Runolfsson ltd. receives a new ship - Hringur.

A new trawler - Hringur is due to arrive at Hafnarfjordur port early next morning.  The ship comes from Poland after extensive refurbishment.  Work on set up of processing equipment from Klaki stalsmidja ehf. will start tomorrow.  The equipment consisting of reception conveyor, gutting facility, washing bins, sorting boxes and conveyors at the processing deck and in the hold, is expected to be ready up and running before Christmas.

Equipment on board Hrafn GK-111	15.09.2005
At present equipment is being set up at the processing deck of  the freezing trawler Hrafn GK-111.  The ship is being operated by Þorbjörn Fiskanes h.f. in Grindavik.  The equipment consist of an Off and on loading van for freezers, Ejector for freezing pans, Block Container and Hatch-way Lift to the freezing hold.

Dewatering bins and conveyors for Sjólaskip

Sjólaskip located in Hafnarfjörður Iceland has purchased 3 factory trawlers which the company received in December 2004 and January 2005. At the beginning of the year 2005 Klaki stálsmiðja ehf. produced large dewatering bins and conveyors for two of the ships Sírius and Geysi. This month September 2005 work has begun on production of the same equipment for the 3rd ship Janus. The ships are located off shore Mauritania fishing mackerel.
